Scott...I play right handed and 90% of the time use traditional grip. I have made great strides in strengthening my weak hand and now find that my lead hand is the slower and less controlled one when playing multiple (3 or 4) strokes on a pad or snare drum. I have never read or heard of any other player with this issue. It seems to me that when players talk about the weak hand, it is automatically assumed the lead hand poses no technical problems.
